Instructor Bio:  Karen Lauer is an experienced artist and CLL class leader. She loves to play games and introduced Wizard to the CLL community and camp conferences.

Course Description:  Forgot the rules to an old favorite? Ready to learn a new card game? Whether you're a seasoned veteran or the next rookie on deck, you will learn the rules and tips you need to master six different card games while connecting with old friends and making new ones. This will be a six-week course.

Instructor Bio:  Dolores Noechel is a former Ruckel math teacher, OCSD Instructional Technology and Media Services Specialist, and Assistant Principal at Fort Walton Beach High School.

Course Description:  Practice or learn the card game of Cribbage. Beginners take your time to learn and practice. Seasoned Players may play in pairs for fun with some advice and strategy shared. Learn protocol of American Cribbage Congress (ACC) and Grassroots local tournament play. A short, written instruction consistent with the (ACC) rules is provided.  This is a 6-week class.

Instructor Bio:  Pete Seda is a former director of the local Grassroots tournament play. Annette Seda is an ACC official tournament judge.

Notes: This is a 6-week class meeting on September 8, 15, 22, 29, October 5 and 12. Cribbage boards, pegs and cards will be provided. VFW Post 7674 213 Carol Ave NW Ft. Walton Beach, FL

Course Description: Learn to play Mah Jongg using the National Mah Jongg League rules. This is a 6-week class.

Instructor Bio: Donna Gross taught Mah Jongg for over 20 years at various schools. She would like to bring this game to the Emerald Coast while teaching the proper rules belonging to the National May Jongg League. 

Denise Bavarian was a former student and has become an excellent player. With her help, we will be able to bring the game of Mah Jongg to more people.

Course Desription: the joy, strategy, and connection of American Mahjong in this engaging beginner-friendly course. Over eight weeks, you’ll learn the fundamentals of this classic tile game- from recognizing tile sets and understanding the National Mah Jongg League (NMJL) card, to forming winning hands and playing with confidence. Taught in a relaxed and social setting, this class is designed for adults who are brand new to the game. All materials are provided.

Instructor Bio:  I am a Fort Walton Beach native, raising my family along the Emerald Coast. I have been playing Mahjong for 2.5 years, and teaching for 1.5 of those years. While my first priority is being a mother and wife, Mahjong has brought joy and connection to my life, and I have found a true passion in sharing the critical thinking and community this game provides. I have taught over 300 people how to play American Mahjong, and when I’m not teaching, you can find me spending time with my husband and kids.

Notes:  The first 3 lessons of the class are the most important and will cover the basics of play. Please try to be in attendance.

Course Description:  This class is designed for beginning students of the game of pickleball or those who need a brush up on the basics of the game. During class, we will teach the rules of the game, scoring, serving and game play. The class will consist of 30 minutes of drills and 30 minutes of instructed play. 

Instructor Bio:  Danny McKinney has been playing pickleball for 3 years and loves sharing and playing the sport with others.

Cyndie Hale knew before she took her first lesson she would love the game, has now loved the game for 2 years and loves sharing the sport with others.

Additional Notes:  Please bring your paddle. If you don’t have one, we have a few that can be borrowed. Gym shoes are required, preferably court shoes.

 Course Description:  Are you ready to learn how to use your iPad effectively? This course will take you from the very basics to making your iPad your own. Individual needs will be addressed to make sure everyone has an opportunity to learn. We will explore the most popular iPad tricks and topics, including how to get the most out of your iPad experience. Students must bring their own iPads to class. This is a six-week course.
