15-Minute Yoga with Friends

Course Description: Studies show a short daily yoga practice with friends is beneficial to your mind and body (Ok well, that was my study with me being the subject and I feel much better when I do this!). This is a quick session to get your day started. We will sign on to Zoom and have a short chat over coffee and then do a 15-min (approx.) yoga session. Yoga flow via YouTube instructors.
Class Leader Bio(s): Nita Wilkinson is not a yoga instructor. However, she started doing this with friends every weekday in 2021 and find it so wonderful to getting the day started, that they continue still. We use YouTube videos from great yoga instructors. Nicole retired from the USAF in 2011 and now has two awesome 12-year-old sons named Bodie & Ryker.
Yoga Smorgasbord

Course Description: This class will introduce lesser-known Yoga topics with some discussion and some active movement. For instance, discover Yoga Nidra. Add mudras and mantras to your yoga practice. Take a look at Ayurveda, the sister science to Yoga. Practice meditation and explore mapping your breath to asanas. For beginners who want to expand their Yoga toolkits. This is a 7-week class.
Notes: This is a 7-week class meeting on January 13, 20, 27 February 3, 10, 17 and 24. You will need a yoga mat. Optional equipment recommended includes 1-2 yoga blocks, a strap and a pillow or blanket to sit elevated for comfort.

Yoga for Healthy Living

Course Description: In this class, practitioners utilize the various tools and techniques of yoga to enhance physical and mental well-being as individuals grow older. One of the key objectives of this class is to cultivate and improve four essential life skills: strength, flexibility, balance, and agility.
Notes: Students must be able to sit on the floor and be able to get up from the floor.Please arrive at least 15 minutes before class starts to set up. The door will close at 10:45.
Class Leader Bio(s): Melinda Roman is a E-CYT 200-hour certified yoga instructor who has been teaching for 8+ years. She is also certified in Yoga for Healthy Aging, Yoga 4 Cancer and is a member of Yoga Alliance.
Yoga with Jacky

Course Description: We will start class with a morning meditation. Let me guide you through a gentle yoga class. there will be standing and sitting poses, working with the rope wall. We will end class in a relaxing savasana (final resting pose)
Notes: Students must be able to sit on the floorand get up from the floor. Class startspromptly at 10:45. Please arrive at least 15minutes ahead of time so you can set upfor class. Yoga Gentle Flow

Course Description: Yoga Vinyasa Flow is conducive to beginning or continuing a gentle Yoga Hatha practice to improve balance, flexibility and mindfulness. This is a 7-week class.

Chair Yoga Gentle Flow

Course Description: Chair Yoga Vinyasa Flow is conducive to beginners or someone wishing to continue a gentle Hatha Yoga practice seated and/or standing with support of a chair. 7-week class.
Notes: This is a 7-week class meeting on January 17, 24, 31, February 7, 14, 21 and 28. You will need a sturdy chair such as a metal folding chair, a yoga mat, and electronics to connect to zoom including camera and microphone focused on yourself.

Chair Yoga

Course Description: No need to get up and down from the floor. Classes will be conducted seated in a chair or standing position. Please wear comfortable clothing. Parking and entrance is in the back of the building. Please arrive 15 minutes before class time to use the restroom and get set up for class to start on time. 6-week class starting January 23.
