The Poetry We Didn't Appreciate in School
with Catherine McIntyre
$15
Course Description: Do you vaguely remember bits of poems and ideas from school? Do you want to revisit those ideas and re-read the classics to help you clarify your thoughts and communication before 'time's winge'd chariot draws near'? This class will read and discuss a few classics and a few you may not have encountered. Each participant can suggest their favorites.
Notes: Be prepared to read, think, and discuss. Do not worry if you feel rusty, the point is to enjoy the great themes of literature now that we are mature enough to appreciate them.
Class Leader Bio(s): Catherine McIntyre retired from teaching international students at TAMU academic English so they could succeed in completing higher education in a US university. Themes of great literature connect cultures and all ages and build philosophically resilient thinkers, which is what she loves about teaching.
